Breakfast of Champions

Previously, we talked about the importance of breakfast. (Find the post here >>> Importance of breakfast & how it affects your daily habits.) It really is the most beneficial meal of the day – they weren’t lying when they told you that. I’m usually strapped for time during the week, so a quick breakfast is ideal. Behold the ultimate list of breakfast options! With this list, you are not allowed to have any more “I didn’t eat breakfast” excuses….

  1. Green smoothie
  2. Thin cut bagel with lox and cream cheese, red onion, capers, and a sprinkle of dill
  3. Slow cooking oats or steel-cut oats with kiwi, mango, banana, green grapes, and honey
  4. Gluten free waffles with warm peanut butter, banana slices, and chopped walnuts and a glass of 1% milk
  5. Sesame Ezekiel toast with cottage cheese, tomato slices, and parsley garnish
  6. Tofu scramble with red peppers, zucchini, onions, and mushrooms….and tofu.
  7. Breakfast PB&J: Peanut butter & jelly on a gluten free blueberry waffle (Van’s is my favorite)
  8. Breakfast bruschetta: French baguette with scrambled eggs, thin layer of cream cheese, diced cherry tomatoes, and fresh parsley
  9. Mini whole wheat waffles with mango chunks, honey, and powdered sugar
  10. Whole wheat toast with scrambled eggs (or egg whites/substitute) with fresh sautéed spinach, provolone cheese, and marinara dipping sauce
  11. Fruit bruschetta: cinnamon bread topped with honey roasted peanut butter, fresh cantaloupe, strawberries, honey, and powdered sugar
  12. Whole wheat toast with 2 hard-boiled eggs and a half of a grapefruit
  13. Mexi eggs: hard-boiled eggs with salsa on top
  14. Egg sandwich with baby spinach on whole wheat bread
  15. Gluten free waffles with peanut butter and banana slices
  16. Old fashioned oats with banana, mango, kiwi, and grapes
  17. Greek yogurt with fresh berries and granola
  18. Bagel thin with cream cheese, 1 fried egg, sautéed red and green peppers.
  19. Leftovers: Potatoes and veggies from the night before scrambled with eggs.
  20. Whole wheat toast topped with smashed avocado, seasoned with salt & pepper
  21. Peanut butter banana smoothie with chocolate Shakeology
  22. Overnight oats
  23. Ricotta and tomato: whole wheat toast, ricotta spread and topped with tomato
  24. Strawberry, banana, and peanut butter quesadilla
  25. Tropical pancakes: thin pancakes with pineapple and banana
  26. Apple sandwich: thin sliced apple with peanut butter and granola
  27. Sautéed asparagus and arugula with fried egg

  29. Citrus: yogurt mixed with oranges and grapefruit, topped with walnuts
  30. Cottage cheese with seasonal fruit
  31. Avocado topped with cottage cheese.
  32. Bagel thin with chive cream cheese and sliced tomato
  33. Peach and toasted almond on greek yogurt
  34. Applesauce parfait: applesauce, greek yogurt, grapes, cut up apple, sliced walnuts
  35. Peach toast: whole wheat toast with almond butter spread, topped with thinly sliced peaches, honey and cinnamon sprinkle.
  36. Breakfast pizza: Pita bread, smashed avocado with lime juice and cilantro, topped with egg
  37. Smoothie bowls: find one to your liking here (Buzzfeed – 11 Breakfast Smoothie Bowls)
  38. English muffin with apples slices and cheese. Broil until cheese is melted.
  39. Whole grain toast with greek yogurt, drizzled with honey and topped with shelled pistachios
  40. Apple cinnamon crepes
